Ilia,
Could you give me some time to reimplement uu*code function to be more
suitable for stream operations? Maybe it'd be a good idea to make them
available as stream filters also.
BTW, as for their names, I prefer convert_uu_encode() /
convert_uu_decode(), as I'm thinking of introducing more generic string
conversion facility.
