Ok, I see the point. Though I do not agree:)Ok. Cool.
Is it possible to include it in PHP until PEAR is released ? And just mention in the docs that this will be moved to PEAR whenever that becomes available.Well this is actually just my opinion, its not really up to me the direction of the module ;) It doesn't seem like anyone else has any real objections (and I don't strongly object, I don't get hurt if the module stays in php, I just disagree with the principal of having two modules doing exactly the same thing). So if you wanted to, you could probably keep this in cvs ad-infinitum, however, I would strongly suggest moving it to PEAR. I don't think mentioning in the docs that the module is "meant" for pear would be a good solution. I'd personally prefer to see the module kept out of php (or at least no formal announcement of the module) until after 4.0.4...
Any time estimates on the release of PEAR ?I'm working on it ;) We're (Jannis and myself) are hoping to get a preliminary version of PEAR (for perusal and comments) up and running by the begining of december late november. -Sterling
