It's because iconv related functions are depend on iconv() code
in standard/string.c implemented by Stig.
I have a plan to implement POST/GET data encoding functionality
using iconv() to handle several different encodings in japanese.
I think making a separate module like ext/iconv or ext/cconv or
ext/i18n and move iconv related functions to this module
is good idea.
Stig,
What do you think about this ?
