I don't know if that's a good news entry, either describe the bug you fixed, or don't mention it at all. I'll update NEWS with an updated description as soon as it's regenerated.

Actually it's important to mention that a crash bug was fixed. Maybe this wasn't the best way of writing it though. Check for "crash" in the NEWS file and you'll see some examples :) Andi
