A default of --enable-exp-zts would also hide bugs of the
class misplaced-TSRMLS-FETCH (in non-ZTS mode, it expands to
"", thereby leaving a single semicolon in the code which is
interpreted as an empty statement). So, the only way to
be sure that your modifications are correct is to compile
in both environments.
