The issue is this piece of code: // We have to use this dirty trick instead of ReflectionClass::newInstanceWithoutConstructor() // because of https://github.com/sebastianbergmann/phpunit-mock-objects/issues/154 $object = unserialize( sprintf('O:%d:"%s":0:{}', strlen($className), $className) ); This ends up using the O: serialization type on a Serializable class, thus causing a warning.
