its not that it doesn't have mcrypt, but my understanding of the
source is that MCRYPT is *not* defined with libmcrypt 2.2 but it is
defined with libmcrypt 2.4 (I mistyped the commit message).
Therefore this is #ifdef'd out for libmcrypt 2.2...
