(I may have posted this already, but it doesn't look like it went through)
Some long awaited, long put off, updates to msession have been made.
It should now compile under Microsoft Windows using MSVC/C++. Any daring
souls wishing to compile under this system, good luck and let me know if you
have any problems. (Also it would be an interesting benchmark.)
Plugin support has been expanded. msession's functionality can be totally
altered using a personality plugin.
The new plugin design also allows user function plugins to be written and
compiled. They are accessed with the "msession_call(...)" function. Function
plugins are different from personality plugins because msessiond can only
have one personality plugin, but multiple function plugins.
Also, more progress has been made on the PostgreSQL module that will allow
msession variables to be used within PostgreSQL queries.
The msession extension in CVS supports these new features, and you will need
the 011223 version of phoenix and msessiond.
