Not sure if this went out the first time - I apologize for any duplicates...
To all,
I am attempting to build an RPM for php-3.0.15-2 (supplied with RedHat 6.2) with Oracle support. So
far, I have:
Edited the php.spec file and added
"--with-oracle=/usr/local/oracle/8i/u01/app/oracle/product/8.1.5". This directory is the
same as $ORACLE_HOME.
Compiled the new RPM after copying the oracle header files to $ORACLE_HOME/network/public directory
However, when I go to install the new RPM, I get a message that states:
"error: failed dependencies: libclntsh.so.8.0 is needed by php-3.0.15-2"
The libclntsh.so.8.0 file exists and I have tried copying it to /lib and /usr/lib. When I install
this RPM using the --nodeps option, httpd crashes immediately upon startup. I assume this is due to
the newly compiled php module crashing. I have added the same .bash_profile file that is assigned
to the oracle user to the root user so that I would have all variables set properly. However, none
of this is working. Where does libclntsh.so.8.0 have to be in order for this to work properly? Is
there anything else that I need to do? Does anyone else have an RPM for this?
Thanks,
Kevin Pate
