This is not practical because a field of type "text" is of arbitrary length.
If you want to limit the field, use varchar as you did with your other text
fields.

Subject: [PHP-DB] TEXT lenght
I am getting error for this:
CREATE TABLE table_name ( id INT NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, first TEXT(20),
last VARCHAR(20), phone VARCHAR(20), PRIMARY KEY(id) );
Is it legitimate to assign a field length when using data type TEXT?
It seems to be the problem here.
Thanks in advance
