Does anyone know the solution to this? It seems to be a common enough
thing to do, but I've looked around and can't find an obvious way to resolve
it.
Basically, recently we decided to have our front-end handled by PHP
scripts on Unix, and the databases themselves on NT on our SQL server. I've
already been using PHP for a while on msql and MySQL, so I figured it was
going to be pretty much easy.
Thing is, $connection = odbc_connect("DSN=<machine
name>","<userid>","<passwd>") doesn't return anything;
name>it doesn't even
return 0. The script reaches that and just dies an unfortunate death. Even
or die (...) won't return anything helpful.
After looking around on the FAQs and tutorials, I assume my problem is
the lack of ODBC drivers for Solaris; if it's not, and someone can propose a
solution, please let me know. Otherwise, I've been looking around for some
Solaris drivers but all I can find is Sybase's, and there seems to be some
problem with their ftp site in the section I need.
Thanks for any replies.
