Gerhard,
You can draw ODBC on linux/unix info from the HOWTO at
http://www.iodbc.org/odbc-phpHOWTO.html

Andrew

Subject: [PHP-DB] FAQ
Hello,
so far as I know there seems to be no good documentation about how to
configure php
for connecting to a particular database (e.g. via odbc or directly)
under a particular os (linux, win9x/nt/2k). There are always the same
questions on the list.
Further more some questions seems to be unsolved or are not completely
understanded (which is obviously in my case [iis+odbc] the case).
I can offer to maintain the faq and host it.
It would be great if someone can send me the configuration description for
one particular
os and one particular database. If each is done by another person it should
be easy to
and not be to much work to cover all configurations.
As soon as I receive some configurations I'll set up the web-site.
Sincerely
Gerhard Schneider
P.S. I would start with one configuration, but I can not offer one because I
wasn't successful
so far.
