I have a similar question, so even if you don't have an ODBC driver on your
box (I'm in linux) you can still use the odbc functions to talk to a db2
database if you supply the config paramater? just making sure, it seems
kinda hackish, you might want to document this somewhere :P

you need to compile php with support for IBM db2 specifically. You will
have to obtain the DB2 client support and install on your web server.
On Linux, this is installed in /usr/IBMdb2/V6.1/. When you configure
PHP for compilation, pass this paramter:
--with-ibm-db2=/usr/IBMdb2/V6.1/ (or whatever path).
you should then be able to use the odbc_* functions just fine.
