Thanks for the link! But it seems that I need to install some separate IBM software on my Linux before in order to connect to a remote AS/400 DB2 database. Silly question, but is there no way to connect directly to the DB from PHP without using external sofwtare? (I'm always weary of installing third-party software, and the more parts to a system the harder the debugging!) Thanks! Jc
