From my experience RedHat 7.2 is not a good distribution to run and build
your things on. If possible try the same configuration but then on Mandrake
or something. (I am myself not very fond of Mandrake, but if you want
something RedHat-alike and stable too, you should run Mandrake)

Has anyone else experienced constant, random segmentation faults when using
PHP and the ibase_fetch_object() or ibase_fetch_row() functions? I've run
what is basically just the sample script that is given in the
ibase_connect() documentation, and while I can get it to connect to my
database fine, it randomly dies with a segfault error in the middle of
spitting out the results of my query. This happens whether I'm running php
as an apache module or as a standalone. I'm using PHP 4.0.6 and running
RedHat 7.2. Is there a workaround for this?
