you mean to use for some sort of header redirect or something?
couldn't you do
1. click link "change to secure mode"
2. pass the url you just came from with the link (or get it from
HTTP_REFERRER or whatever it is)
3. header("Location: " . str_replace("http://",
"https://", $last_url));
or am i missing the point of what you want to do?
