How to show next 5 results??

Hi there,
I am trying to figure out how to display only 5 results on a page.
I tryed it with mysql_data_seek. This workes fine and shows 5 results.
But... how do I access the next 5 results? or the previous, or give a page
number to select?
I know this is a standardprocedure, but I am a newbie..
Can anybody help?
