Unfortunately there is no way using MySQL (prior to v.4.0) to do this.
The process is called a stored procedure. You tell the DB to perform a query after 'X'
period of
minutes, hours, days etc.
At the moment if you're using Unix/Linux boxes then you can use 'crontab'. This is a
program that
you instruct via the command line to execute a batch file of commands every 'X' minutes
etc.

for a tutorial.
On Windoze I think you need to use something called 'AT', but I don't know much about
that either.
