Hi Joseph (and anyone else experiencing problems).
The developer of the Easysoft ODBC-ODBC Bridge 2000 has asked me to point
you to a recent posting on the Easysoft ODBC-ODBC Bridge Newsgroup at:
news://news.easysoft.com/easysoft.public.da2k.odbc-odbc-bridge
You need to look for a message by Nick Gorham sent on 11/07/2000 entitled
"Problem with oob-1.0.0.15 and PHP4"
Message Body follows:
-- snip --
A problem has been discovered with the most recent release of the
odbc-odbc bridge (1.0.0.15) that will cause building with PHP4 to fail.
We will be issuing a corrected build shortly, but in the interim the
problem can be solved by replacing the file
/usr/local/easysoft/oob/client/include/sqlext.h with the attached
copies.
-- snip --
Please visit the newsgroup to download the afore mentioned attachments.
Sorry for any inconvenience

Subject: [PHP-DB] Easysoft's ODBC to ODBC Bridge
Hi PHP'ers
I was just wondering if anyone has had any success in compiling php4
with support for Easysoft's ODBC to ODBC Bridge.
here is the error output from make.
--snip--
In file included from /usr/local/easysoft/oob/client/include/odbc.h:2,
from
/usr/local/src/php-4.0.1pl2/ext/odbc/php_odbc.h:137,
from internal_functions.c:38:
/usr/local/easysoft/oob/client/include/sqlext.h:1970: parse error before
`SQLHANDLE'
make[2]: *** [internal_functions.lo] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/php-4.0.1pl2/main'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/php-4.0.1pl2/main'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
--snip--
Any advice on how to get this up and running would be mutch appreciated,
I seem to have the server running ok under windows98 but I really need
to get php4 configured to use the client so I can run some tests.
For anyone who hasn't heard about these drivers goto www.easysoft.com
and check them out.
Thanks,
Joseph Blythe
