Don't know if will work but what if you try: <? print "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>" ?> I've nerver worked with XML but what I know is that you have to insert XML code inside the html, like PHP. Another thing, I remember that my phpinfo() used to show XML configuration. I know it's not a real help and somebody will give a better answer but you can try it.
