Leave the date in the database in MySQL format (YYYY/MM/DD) and when you
need to display the date on your page, just do this:
<?php
explode("/", $datearray);
$date = $datearray[2].'/'.$datearray[1].'/'.$datearray[0];
?>
That just splits up the three numbers, and rearranges them. Easy :)
