In HTML:
<SELECT name="manufacturernames[]" multiple>
(note the name has PHP-like array definition)
In PHP:
for ($i=0;$i<sizeOf($manufacturernames);$i++) {
if ($i==0) {
$q_cond="where";
} else {
$q_cond="or";
}
$query.="$q_cond MANUFACTURER LIKE '$manufacturernames[$i]'";
}
