Hello there,
If I have a page that starts with OCILogon , and ends with OCILogoff
command, does Oracle still keep a session open?
Would using persistent connections reduce the number of sessions used?
I have encountered the infamous Ora-00018 error. I get false errors,
such as "invalid column name" (because the query works just
fine)...Then, if you wait a few minutes, the error goes away and the
page performs as designed.
I am able to hit the session limit after running through my pages
roughly 60 times (the default Oracle sessions value, I've learned).
Am I mistaken to assume that OCILogoff() frees up these sessions?
It all happens relatively fast:
1. OCIlogon
2. run query
3. display query data in HTML
4. OCILogoff
Also, since I have OciInternalDebug(1), I can see these messages on each
screen:
OCIDebug: START php_rshutdown_oci
OCIDebug: END php_rshutdown_oci
Any feedback is appreciated.
