I have the following set in my php.ini file:
error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_CORE_WARNING & ~E_USER_WARNING &
~E_COMPILE_WARNING
So when I execute this script:
<?
$iDBLink = mysql_connect($gDBHost, $gDBUser, $gDBPass);
mysql_select_db($gDBName);
$strQuery = "delete from manual";
mysql_query($strQuery, $iDBLink);
?>
I get the following error:
Warning: MySQL: Unable to save result set in
/home/httpd/htdocs/admin/pageorder.php on line 7
The script executes and executes the delete (and subsequent inserts)
just fine, and all info is updated in the correct table.
I went and changed php.ini to read:
error_reporting = E_ERROR
and that seemed to get rid of these warnings.
My question is, was this a good idea? will I miss anything that is
important in terms of warnings? Is there something wrong w/ my use of
this script that I may have missed?
tia.
