If you're using Linux listen to Sam & Teodor. If you're using BSD, then you've no doubt have compiled it with --with-mysql and it compiles, just without mysql support. See output from phpinfo() for confirmation. I've been trying to report it to the maintainer of the port, but he only gives his FreeBSD.org mail account and their mail server is bouncing all mail due to an IP resolution issue they're having with this part of IP space. If someone (maybe from the States) would tell him that the port needs looking at I'd greatly appreciate it.
