Hi all, I am useing PHP4 release and I am getting a strange error I don't understand. Can anyone explain?? If I do it this way I get an error complaining about passing a referenced array to odbc_fetch_into/ <? $conn = odbc_connect("v2web","",""); $query = odbc_exec($conn, "select * from vlc_tb"); odbc_fetch_into($query, &$result_array); odbc_close($conn); ?> Warning :Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated - argument passed by value; If you would like to pass it by reference, modify the declaration of odbc_fetch_into(). If you would like to enable call-time pass-by-reference, you can set allow_call_time_pass_reference to true in your INI file. However, future versions may not support this any longer. in D:\Pictures Archive\php112.php3 on line 4 If I do it this way, I get an error that I am not passing the array by reference in odbc_fetch_into!! <? $conn = odbc_connect("v2web","",""); $query = odbc_exec($conn, "select * from vlc_tb"); odbc_fetch_into($query, $result_array); odbc_close($conn); ?> Warning :Array not passed by reference in call to odbc_fetch_into() in D:\Pictures Archive\php110.php3 on line 4 Whats the deal, Thanks, Serge
