Usually when I have a problem like this I RTFM. In this case, I
would search the manual for update.
update table_name set column_name="new value" where
column_name="old value";

I am trying to use
REPLACE INTO table WHERE id LIKE '$id'
but this wouldn't work
I have also tried with UPDATE
