How to turn off error display

In the code shown below, everything works ok but php
displays an error message when pg_fetch_row tries to
access beyond the last row. How can I turn the error display
off?
// exec query
$result = pg_exec($dbcon, $sql);
$i = 0;
while (($row = pg_fetch_row( $result, $i++ ))) {
// display what we have
// printf/echo stuff
}
pg_close( $dbcon );
