DB2 problems

Hello!
I have compiled PHP4 with DB2 support, and it all went without problems,
apparently.
However, when trying to do a simple odbc_connect(), I get the following
error message:
Warning: SQL error: , SQL state R @ in SQLConnect in
/usr/local/apache/htdocs/index.phtml on line 2
OR
Warning: SQL error: , SQL state R @ ·àöÿ¿§R @ in SQLConnect in
/usr/local/apache/htdocs/index.phtml on line 2
OR
Warning: SQL error: , SQL state R @D¶àöÿ¿§R @ in SQLConnect in
/usr/local/apache/htdocs/index.phtml on line 2
.....or any other variation over this theme.
Could someone please tell me wtf is going on?
Been fighting this problem for quite a while now, I just hope someone
can help us out...
Running RedHat 6.2, Apahce 1.3.12, PHP 4.0.1pl2, and IBM DB2 V7.1
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
