In case anyone is interested I got it to work:
SELECT *
FROM DATABASENAME.[UNCPATHTOFILE]..[FILENAME] Alias
Notice the '..' that is not a typo. :-\ weird huh?

Subject: [PHP-DB] ODBC Text Driver
Has anyone had any luck querying a tab delimited text file using odbc?
I'm certain I'm doing it wrong but here's what I tried on an odbc connection:
select * from [myfile.csv]
And I got...
Warning: SQL error: [Microsoft][ODBC Text Driver] '(unknown)' is not a valid path. Make
sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the
file resides., SQL state S1009 in SQLConnect in
Thanks!
