Difficulties in handling LIMIT queries

Hi all ... I have a simple that many of you might find extremelly simple to answer. I have a DB with a table with around 50.000 rows. When I do a query that gives me back around 15.000 rows, I have no problems in using LIMIT x,y to get only a few of them. If a use some ordering I only get back some values if the query (without the order by) would give me back no so many rows. The error I get is 1114: The table 'SQL4677_0' is full Any ideas or workarounds? I am using indexes on the order columns.
