You are correct. That is what it should be. I had tried that too, but get a
different error, which led me to try the one I submitted. Notice that the
print($dbh) returns 'Resource id #1'. Is that what a database handle is suppose
to return? I think the connect is working, but I must be doing something wrong
with the query. That same query works fine in the IBCONSOLE, so I am stuck.
