I have this problem, it's something to do with compiling with
--enable-sig-something. Wasn't quite sure, but as an interrim
I have a cron job which sends SIGHUP to Apache every 30 minutes,
which stops it overloading my system!

| I think it falls under the reported php bugs 3755 and/or 3888, which
| have not been resolved yet. Unfortunately, I need to find a solution
| soon, so if anyone has any ideas of things I can try, or has a
| WORKING apache/redhat/php-oracle config.....please let me know.
