Well, I'm just a beginner myself, but I would say that:
> echo"<i> by "; echo ($albumby[xoops_artist.artist]);
> echo"<i><br>";
should at least be:
> echo"<i> by "; echo ($album[xoops_artist.artist]);
> echo"<i><br>";
or even:
> echo"<i> by "; echo ($album[artist]); echo"<i><br>";
