PHP and IBM DB2 How to connect ?

Hello, I am newbee in PHP, but I want to use it because I find it very powerfull. The problem is : I have the [BOX A] [BOX B] Web server Linux RH 6.1 Database server Linux RH6.1 PHP IBM Database WorkGroup Edition V6.1 Web Licence APACHE IBM DB2 CLI and SDK. I want to use PHP ODBC functions to connect BOX A to BOX B. So I compiled PHP with the option : --with-ibm-db2. The compilation work fine, make and make install ok. But when I restart Apache, it dead with no information in the log file. I have try a lot of things and now i am lost. I don't understand what is my problem. If someone can help me, it will be very helpfull for me, because I am responsible of the choise of PHP. We began writing application with Mysql. But now, i have to connect to the db2 database. If i don't success it, there will be storm in my office ! Thanks, Denis.
