(please notice, searching 'import file' and 'export file' in the mysql docs--http://www.mysql.com/doc/en/index.html--brought up both results within easy reach.) > And then import > those record by being able to set a filter to sort all people from NY or > all people that are 25 years old. Anyone know of a good link? i'm rather a fan of harald's online library. he has dl-able copies of zillions of programming books and references, including 'php and mysql web development', where i got my feet wet with php and mysql, and 'a programmer's introduction to php 4.0,' my first php book. (keep in mind, you can only access the site between 8pm and 8am cet unless you pay.) webmonkey's php/mysql tutorial (http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/programming/php/tutorials/tutorial4.html) is a good start. there's a list of mysql related functions at http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.mysql.php, and check the links page at php.net as well. good luck! namaide monjoy -- _______________________________________________ Get your free email from http://www.graffiti.net Powered by Outblaze
