I run IE5.5 and also have no problem, how do you know if the cookies weren't
written ?
I mean that they can reside on the HDD but the browser may not pick it up
for some reason.
Emptying your cache may help.

Subject: [PHP-DB] The Cookies Mystery
Hi,
I need urgent help !!!
I've got a site that uses cookies to store session id.
Everything seems ok till I've tried the site from a notebook. The problem
is that the browsers (Netscape4.X&Explorer5) don't even try to write the
cookies.
So I've got no cookies ....
Yes, I've checked Security Configuration and set it to low, accept cookies
and alert when cookies arrives....
The mistery is that i've tried the site from almost ten or eleven different
pc's and never had a problem.
Could anybody help me. I need the notebook to make a demo .....
Thanks.
Xavi.
