AFAIK, MySQL doesn't support multiple inserts into tables. others may
correct me. I have always issued two seperate queries to insert into each
table. if the query failed on one of the two inserts I am not sure you
would be able to tell which one. having two queries allows you to echo
the error for each one when troubleshooting problems.
I have used two queries when encountering this in the past.
others more knowledgable may have more input though.
