In Unix I just give php the homedir of sybase at compile-time. Example:
./configure --with-mysql --with-sybase-ct=/opt/sybase
--with-apache=../apache_1.3.12 --enable-track-vars
I think you will have to give php the path where sybase gets installed
(which should be about the first thing the installer of sybase asks for).
