I'm having problems to accomplish succesfully to make php works with
mssql.
First I tried Freetds and used php as a static module. I could select
some data, but sometimes it returned some wrong results!! Also, I had
the problem that it stopped php being evaluated when I tried to use a
query that didn't return any row. Then I tried to use php as a dynamic
module, and then I got no more wrong results, but apache dies sometimes
(segfault).
Then, I tried to use the sybase api (linux.sybase.com), which seemed to
be more mature. I installed the following RPMs:
sybase-common-11.9.2-2
sybase-openclient-11.1.1-2
sybase-ase-11.9.2-2
And my interfaces file is just:
TEST
query tcp ether 200.213.155.105 1433
As a static module I got apache segfault. As SO, I couldn start apache:
Cannot load /etc/httpd/lib/apache/libphp4.so into server:
/etc/httpd/lib/apache/libphp4.so: undefined symbol: dbdead
Has anyone succedeed to use freetds or sybase?? What was the magic???
With Perl it was very easy, I could do the query that made apache die
without errors.
I'm using apache 1.3.12, php 4.0.2, freetds 0.50, sybase 11.9.2.
Thanks
