I have a database that is storing audio data and I want to be able to upload
that to the user through an HREF and just have media player/real audio pop
up. I have the basics working, although it isn't quite the way I wanted it
to be. Basically I set the content type to be audio/wav and the filename
then I just turn the fire hose on and pump the data down to the user.
Netscape under Linux comes close (it asks to save the file), but IE 5.5
insists on opening the file in the browser window like it's text. If I tell
IE to save the file then I can open it up in RA Player and it works fine.
This might be slightly OT but I thought someone else here might have had a
similar requirement.
TIA,
Eric
