I had the same result when trying to create a trigger:
The executed code was:
CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER "PMDEV".tri_patients_lname_fname
BEFORE INSERT OR UPDATE OF "LNAME","FNAME" ON
"PMDEV"."PATIENTS"
REFERENCING OLD AS OLD NEW AS NEW FOR EACH ROW
BEGIN
:new.fname_upper := upper (:new.fname);
:new.lname_upper := upper (:new.lname);
/* FC 8/27/00 */
:new.fname_soundex := soundex (:new.fname);
:new.lname_soundex := soundex (:new.lname);
END;
/
I tried leaving off the last "/" or "/" and ";" but it still had the
same result. Executing the same statement using SQL Plus works. I might
have been logged in to SQL Plus as DBA though.
Thanks,
