As far as I could understand you are looking for a way of not use any
character to separate the ingredient items. If I am right you can make it
the way bellow:
It's a little hard work but you can use DHTML to produce a dynamic list of
ingredients, adding a form line every time people clicks on the "add
Ingredient" button. This way you can have a one to many relationship between
Recipe and Ingredient and get rid of all that stuff.
There are other solutions using forms and reloading the page too, but the
performance slows down .
