This mostly a MySQL problem but I figured I'd ask here so no one else gets
burned by this.
I have the following statement: $brtresult = mysql_query("SELECT RT FROM
Results WHERE RT > .4999 AND $filt1 = '$filt2' ORDER BY RT LIMIT 1"); where
$filt1 is Date (a field name) and $filt2 is 03-26-00 (a date in my table).
If RT is set to type decimal(6,4) the query returns what I expect but if RT
is type float(6,4) it returns nothing...BTW it should return 0.5016 (in this
case) if that makes any difference.
This is mostly a "what is going on" type question as I have found the
solution...I just want to know why.
