Hi;
I am trying to implement php4 as an apache module using IBM DB2 as a
database - here are the specifics:
Linux Redhat 6.1
Kernel 2.2.16
php-4.0.1pl2
apache_1.3.12
ibm-db2 7.1
mod_ssl-2.6.5-1.3.12
openssl-0.9.5a
I had already had php4/apache/mysql up and running, but needed to switch to
IBM db2, so this is what I have done:
first for php4
gmake clean
./configure --with-ibm-db2 --with-apache=../apache_1.3.12
--enable-track-vars
gmake depend
gmake > compile.log (look at stderr only)
got these warnings:

from /usr/local/src/php-4.0.1pl2/ext/odbc/php_odbc.h:143,
from internal_functions.c:38:
/home/db2inst1/sqllib/include/sqlcli.h:718: warning: `ODBCVER' redefined
/usr/local/src/php-4.0.1pl2/ext/odbc/php_odbc.h:37: warning: this is the
locatio
n of the previous definition

It seemed like it built everything anyway, but...
for apache
/configure \
> --prefix=/home/httpd/ \
> --enable-module=ssl \
> --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a \
> --enable-module=php4
... the usual stuff and then:
+ doing sanity check on compiler and options
** A test compilation with your Makefile configuration
** failed. The below error output from the compilation
** test will give you an idea what is failing. Note that
** Apache requires an ANSI C Compiler, such as gcc.

Aborting!
If I go back and configure Mysql instead of IBM DB2 it configures and
compiles with apache just fine. I couldn't find anything on this specific
issue in the archives, so here I am.
I really do need to get this project rolling (I know - everyone needs it
yesterday).
Thanks,
Craig
P.S. How do I configure a Data Source Name when I finally get this
compliled (I believe that you are using the DB2 CLI interface)
