The list's still dead (at least on my side).
I've recieved the following mail from the qmail-program this evening (see
below the ////////).
By the way. I already solved how to handle radiobottons (see my message
below). Still stuck with one problem though:
How do I check if the e-mail-adress specified by the visitor against the
adresses in my db?
I use the folowing script to check if a value is filled out and to submit
data to MySQL (sorry for the sutch frases?!). I also would like to know how
to let the visitor check the filled out information and after approval
submit it to MySQL.
<!--BEGIN PHP-CODE-->
<?php
require ('/home/bodemschat/phplib/cnx.inc');
//if **name '0' ->go back to form and exit script.
if ($lastname == "" || $email =="") {
echo("U heeft geen achternaam of e-mailadres ingevuld. Keer terug naar het
formulier en vul deze gegevens in.");
exit();
// else insert and display submitted info.
} else {
$sql="INSERT INTO updateservice SET " .
"titel='$titel', " .
"firstname='$firstname', " .
"lastname='$lastname', " .
"email='$email', " .
"date=CURDATE()";
if (mysql_query($sql)) {
// Als titel=Y Heer weergeven anders als N: mevouw weergeven met naam.
if ($titel =='Y')
$htmltitel = "Heer" ;
} else
$htmltitel = "Mevrouw" ;
}
echo("<div align='center'><center><p>
<b>Geachte " . $htmltitel . " " . $lastname . ",<br>
De volgende gegevens zijn
verwerkt:</b><br></p><p></p></center></div>
<div align='center'><table align='center'
width='80%'
cellspacing='1'>
<tr><td width='20%' align='right'><font
size='2' face='Verdana'>
<b>Naam:</b></font></td><td align='left'><font
size='2'
face='Verdana'>" .
$htmltitel . " " . $firstname . " " . $lastname .
"</font></td></tr>
<tr><td align='right' nowrap><font size='2'
face='Verdana'><b>E-mail:</b></font></td>
<td align='left'><font size='2'
face='Verdana'>".$email."</font></td>
</tr></table></div>
<p></p><p>Hartelijk dank voor uw inschrijving.</p>");
} else {
echo("<P><font size='2' face='Verdana'>Er is een fout
opgetreden bij het
verwerken van de door u opgegeven gegevens:<br>
De volgende fout heeft zich voorgedaan:</font></p>
<p><b>" . mysql_error() . "</b><br>" . mysql_errno()
. "</p>");
}
}
?>
<!--END PHP-CODE-->

I'm creating a form that will allow users to subscribe thereselves to a
database-mailinglist.
now I've got one question:
How does PHP handle radiobuttons. I want to let the visitor decide If there
[male] or [female] and than store the decided entry in the database. Is it
possible to writre the script so that [male]=1 and [female]=0 (or 'Y' & 'N')
and than store the entry?
I don't know how to. maybe all you can help.
regards
bart

It's pretty nice to have a break from that volume. But, we are trying to
resolve it. We have been having very odd problems with the server that is
handling both CVS and the mailing lists.
