You can test it out by creating a php page which does a connect to your
MySQL database and see if the connection was successful.
If it works, you will have accomplished a couple of things:
1. You will have verified that Apache knows that it needs to parse .php
files appropriately.
2. You will also have verified that you compiled PHP correctly to include
the MySQL functions
3. You setup MySQL properly and that you know how to connect to it using the
PHP MySQL function library.
4. You read the docs!! (always a plus!! :) )

Subject: [PHP-DB] PHP4 + Apache + MySql
Hi All
How can I test if I have everything set-up and working properly.
I have got PHP4 to work on my Apache fine, but I can't work out if All three
( if they need to be ) are talking to each other.
I am very new to this, so please be gentle with your replies.
I am using the Win32 versions if this make a difference.
Thank you in advance.
