I would *assume* you could use PHP's native SQL_Server calls (or ODBC). If
you use ODBC, you will of course have to have ODBC setup on the Linux
machine. I have never done this before.
For documentation please reference:
http://www.php.net/manual/ref.mssql.php for
the PHP MS SQL functions
http://www.php.net/manual/ref.odbc.php for the
PHP ODBC functions.
http://www.openlink.co.uk/ I think you can get ODBC
drivers here (for linux
- again, I *think*)
also, http://dadmin.sourceforge.net another plug for my
database library
that's being developed :)

I'm pretty keen to learn more about PHP4 and SQL7 connections where the web
server (apache) is on one box (or a cluster or load balanced) and the SQL7
server is on another. I would also prefer to use a TCP/IP connection string
as well. Basically we have a number of ASP sites where we wish to move
(slowly) over to PHP4 on Linux but wish to keep the SQL7 databases as is.
Any URL's, examples or other doc's would be a great help.
