Get rid of any Makefile and try ./configure again with the --with-low-memory
switch:
% ./configure --with-low-memory
the sql/sql_yacc.cc source file requires a lot of memory to compile, which
will sometimes cause the fatal signal 11 error you are experiencing. Hope
that helps.
