Hi,
I do not know if this help but I found the following:
PHP 4.0.2 Release is not able to connect to Oracle as CGI module with
Oracle 8 client librarys. ISAPI works though.
As soon as I upgraded to Oracle 8i (8.1.6 in my case) client libs it
worked both from CGI and ISAPI.

Hi,
just some additional info:
1) Operating system is windows NT 4.0, SP 3.
2) I CAN connect to the db-server if I put the full conection
specification
into the login statement instead of the service name:
$db = OCILogon("user",
"password",
"(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(COMMUNITY=tcp.world)
(PROTOCOL=TCP)(Host=internet.domain.name)(Port=1521)))
(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=database_sid)))");
further operations seem to work OK.
Bye, Martin
